The staff and leadership here at St. mark Preschool is comprised of men and women who love, care and pray for every child and family that we are blessed to have. If you have questions for any of our staff, feel free to reach out and email them or call our main office to speak with them.
I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelors’ Degree in Elementary Education. I have added an Early Childhood Endorsement through Peru State.
My husband Mark and I live in Bellevue and have been married for 32 years. We have two children Matthew and Laura and a daughter in-law, Melissa, who all live in Omaha.
My family worships at St. Matthews, in Bellevue, Nebraska. My first teaching job was in Copperas Cove, Texas, a small town by Ft. Hood. I spent three wonderful years teaching 1st grade before moving to Germany where I ran a Co-op Preschool for the Department of Defense. After moving to Nebraska in June of 2000, I taught Preschool for two years and then Kindergarten for seven years at Pilgrim Lutheran in Bellevue, Nebraska. Prior to coming to St. Mark I worked as a contractor on Offutt Air Force Base for Parents as Teachers Heroes at Home as an in-home visitor for children birth- to age-3-years-old. This is my seventh year at St. Mark Preschool as the Director and Lead teacher for our 3-year-old and Pre-K classes. I love being an early childhood educator and am honored to share the love of Jesus with children.
I enjoy reading, horseback riding, cooking, gardening and woodworking. My dad, siblings, and in-laws all live in Nebraska, so we are blessed to be able to spend time with our family.
I retired after 38 years of teaching in the public schools. I have experience in teaching at various levels beginning at the middle school and elementary grades. During the past 20 years I was an elementary school counselor in the Council Bluffs Community School District where I taught classes and worked with families and children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. This is my sixth year at St. Mark Lutheran Preschool.
On the personal side, I am married and have a son who lives in Atlanta, Georgia area. I was raised in Hays, Kansas and grew up living on a dairy farm. My husband and I have lived in Omaha for the past 25 years. We are active members at Christ Community Church where we serve in the music and counseling ministries.
I was born near Saginaw, Michigan where I was blessed to attend Lutheran schools for my grade school, high school, and college years. After attending Concordia University, River Forest, IL for three years, I graduated from Concordia College in Ann Arbor, MI with a Lutheran Teaching Diploma and Education degree. I have taught grades 3-8 in various Lutheran schools including St. Paul, Hamlin, NY; Holy Ghost in Monroe, MI; and Trinity Lutheran in Traverse City, MI.
My husband, Kevin, and I have been married since 1994 and we have 2 sons, Christian and Caleb. My family and I moved to Omaha in June of 2013 and I have been working as a Teacher Aide for Concordia Academy. I was hired by St. Mark in February of 2015 to work as the Administrative Assistant. I continue to work for Concordia Academy in the afternoons. God has blessed my family and me in so many wonderful ways and He continues to bless us through my position at St. Mark. I pray that I may be a blessing to you and your family as well.
I’m excited to be an assistant at St. Mark Preschool.
I graduated from Dana College in Blair, NE with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, and did some substitute teaching in my early years right after college. I was a stay-at-home mom for many years and in those years I’ve enjoyed teaching Sunday School, Junior Church, Vacation Bible School, as well as volunteering in my children’s schools.
My husband Mitch and I have three children, Emily, Ben, and Leah. We live in the Elkhorn area and attend Relevant Community Church.
In my spare time I enjoyed playing my flute, reading, playing piano, sewing and traveling.
I was born and raised in Kearney, NE and moved to Omaha in 2004. I graduated from Central Community College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and taught early preschool in a child development center for nearly ten years. I became a work-at-home mom in 2014 and have thoroughly enjoyed the extra time and memories with my sons, Henry and Hayden. They are both graduates of St. Mark's preschool program and now attend Concordia Academy. My husband Brian is an AP Biology teacher for Council Bluffs Community School District. As a family we enjoy game nights, cooking together, reading, and traveling to the Rocky Mountains. I attend Waypoint Church.

Pastor Eric Jay is a Southern California native, having just received the call to St Mark this past August 2017.
Pastor Jay graduated with a Master's in Theology and Culture as a student of St Louis Seminary via the Cross Cultural Ministry Pastoral Certification Program (CMC) located at Concordia University in Irvine, California. The CMC focuses uniquely upon equipping students and future pastors to infiltrate strategic urban settings as church planters. As such, Pastor Jay spent the first 3 years after graduation pastoring The Gathering; a church plant of which Pastor Jay was founder. In October 2012 Pastor Jay received his first formal call to St John's Lutheran Church in El Segundo, Ca whereupon he was also ordained.
After accepting St Mark's call in August 2017, Pastor Jay preceded his wife Sarah and daughter Elizabeth who later joined him, moving to Omaha this past September. With degrees in Music Performance, both Eric and Sarah love music (they met and married while attending the Chapman Conservatory of the Arts), the arts and the outdoors in their spare time...that is whenever they are not joyfully busy with little "Lizzy".
